Scala Delivers Its First Customized Liquid Nitrogen Generator to Canada

Apr 14,2026
Hangzhou, April 2026 – Today marks a significant milestone for Hangzhou Scala Filtration Technology Co., Ltd. We are proud to announce that our first liquid nitrogen generator, specially customized for the Canadian market with a daily production capacity of 10 liters, has been accepted for delivery to the customer. This achievement not only signifies Scala's official entry into the Canadian market, but also represents a solid step forward in meeting Northern America standards and adapting to extreme environmental requirements.

To meet Canada's stringent certification requirements for electrical equipment, Scala implemented several localized upgrades based on the standard model, ensuring full compliance in terms of safety, regulatory standards, and environmental adaptability. These enhancements include:

1. Upgraded dedicated cabling: The system is equipped with specially selected cables that are both UL-certified and compliant with SOOW oil-resistant insulation standards. These cables offer excellent resistance to oil, abrasion, and harsh weather conditions, while maintaining stable electrical performance under extreme temperatures and high humidity—making them well-suited for use in Arctic regions and Canada's diverse climate conditions.

2. Optimized circuit breaker configuration: The system is equipped with a flange-based circuit breaker from Eaton Corporation, compliant with UL 489 standards. This breaker delivers excellent performance in both short-circuit protection and thermal overload protection. Its flange-mounted design allows for more secure wirings within the equipment, meeting requirements of industrial electrical components in Canada.

3. Localized power plug adaptation: Custom plugs compliant with Canadian standards were provided by a local partner and fully tested for compatibility with the system's electrical configuration. This ensures the equipment can be connected directly and safely to the Canadian power grid without the need for additional adapters or modifications, avoiding potential acceptance delays or safety risks caused by non-compliant plugs.
Through these enhancements, Scala's liquid nitrogen generator not only meets Canada's certification requirements but also significantly improves electrical safety and operational convenience for long-term use in harsh environments.

In addition to electrical system adaptations, Scala has also upgraded the air circuit system:

1. Optimized air intake filtration system: The unit now features a detachable grille-type dust filter, combined with a high-density intake filter mesh layer inside. This design allows users to easily clean or replace the filter material while effectively capturing airborne particles, dust, and other impurities.

2. Enhanced exhaust system: The exhaust diameter has been increased and the internal airflow channel structure has been optimized, allowing hot air to be discharged more smoothly and efficiently. This improvement boosts overall heat dissipation performance, reducing temperature rise of compressor during long-term continuous operation.

3. In terms of reliability and durability, the upgrade also incorporates higher-standard pneumatic components, including CMS quick connectors and gas delivery tubing from Parker Hannifin. It further improve the system's ability to operate continuously in harsh environments, extend maintenance intervals, and reduce overall operating costs for users.

According to the delivery schedule, the liquid nitrogen generator will first arrive in Vancouver by sea. Upon arrival, it will undergo inspection and certification by the CSA Group, arranged by a local partner. After successfully passing certification, the unit will be transported to the Arctic region to support local scientific research and exploration projects.
