IoT in Scala's LN2 Generator: Remote Monitoring & Operation Platform
An IoT (Internet of Things) platform adds remote monitoring, data collection, and intelligent management capabilities to a liquid nitrogen generator. Instead of relying on on-site inspections, users can monitor and manage the system from a computer or smartphone. This is especially valuable for laboratories, hospitals, universities, semiconductor facilities, and industrial users where uninterrupted liquid nitrogen supply is critical.
Scala's liquid nitrogen generators are among the pioneers in the industry to integrate advanced IoT connectivity. Our systems utilize two world-class remote monitoring platforms—EasyAccess 2 by Weincloud and SIMICAS® by Siemens—to provide secure, reliable, and intelligent remote equipment management.
The Weincloud IoT Platform
Three monitoring modes: cMT Viewer (mobile), WebView (browser), VNC Viewer (direct access). Setup in 5 minutes — no firewall configuration needed.
For liquid nitrogen generator originated to LNS10A - models come with WeinView 10'' HMI - we integrates the Weincloud EasyAccess 2 IoT Platform to provide secure and convenient remote monitoring and operation.
The platform supports multiple access methods, including cMT Viewer for smartphones and tablets, WebView through a standard web browser, and VNC Viewer for direct remote access from a computer. These options allow users to monitor real-time operating status, view system parameters, receive alarm notifications, and remotely operate the liquid nitrogen generator from virtually anywhere using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
This intelligent connectivity also enables faster and more efficient troubleshooting. Once the liquid nitrogen generator is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi, Scala's engineers can securely access the system remotely to view real-time operating parameters, diagnose faults, and provide immediate technical support without the need for an on-site visit. In many cases, issues can be identified and resolved remotely, significantly reducing service response time, lowering maintenance costs, and maximizing equipment uptime to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted liquid nitrogen supply.
SIMICAS Remote Device O&M Platform
For other liquid nitrogen generator models such as LNS20A, LNS20W, LNS50W and etc - models come with Siemens Smart Line or Smart Line Plus - we integrates the SIMICAS Remote Device O&M Platform to provide convenient remote monitoring and operation.
The SIMICAS® Remote Device Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Platform provides secure cloud-based connectivity for real-time equipment monitoring, remote diagnostics, and predictive maintenance. Key operating parameters, system status, alarm history, and performance data can be accessed anytime through a web browser, mobile device, or remote desktop connection, enabling service engineers to identify potential issues early and optimize system performance.
The platform also supports remote software updates, fault diagnosis, parameter adjustment, and technical assistance without the need for on-site service visits. This significantly reduces maintenance costs, shortens response times, minimizes equipment downtime, and maximizes system availability, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted liquid nitrogen production.
IoT is a means, not the goal
At Scala, intelligent connectivity is not an end in itself—it is a practical tool that enables faster technical support, reduces maintenance costs, and improves equipment reliability. Combined with our proven cryogenic technology, it ensures dependable, efficient, and uninterrupted liquid nitrogen production whenever and wherever it is needed.
